Feb 14 th already!

Well its been a month since I've sat down and had time to blog. I just don't know how the time goes by so fast. A month already!!!!

Been so busy I almost feel like I'm a Robot, Working, or doing something around the house, or worrying about things. It just seems to build bigtime. I know I need to slow down, not allowing the erge in me to just give up! So I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen.

Worked a overnight shift right into a day shift today, I'm feeling tired but ok. Washing clothes and bedding now, got family staying with us due to a illness on my daughter in laws side of the family. Prayers would be nice, He's far from outta the woods I'd say.

I've got some long nightshifts coming within the next week. They are hard cause there are some nights where I don't get to sleep. It will be nice when the end of Feb is here, this month I'm just finding really insane!

Hubby and I spent part of the evening watching a movie, I really enjoyed it, kinda learned some good points from it, and will try to apply them in my daily living. Now we are just waiting for our family to arrive.

Guess that's all for now, I hope it doesn't take me another month to find the time to blog about things.....Night all .

Family........its a big part of life.

You know when the phone rings , late in the evening or during the night,its usually not a good call. Saturday night, I was enjoying a evening of a few girlfriends down for the evening, Hubby went out to visit friends , when yup the phone rang.
It was his brother in Regina, saying to me on the phone ....Mom went into the Regina General Hospital, she's having surgery....she has Cancer. Your heart kinda stops for a second, your brain is trying to gather this info and process it. You go into SHOCK!
I called my hubby, had to tell him the news. Not long after he came home, he was in shock, He looked at me and said What do I do??
We packed a bag , my one friend took our dog (She's our dog sitter and is awesome!)
We left and headed for Regina.
Mom made it through surgery ok, she spent a few days in ICU and now is in a room to herself and resting and healing slowly.
Her 5 children all showed up and stayed by her side, in her time of need. This is the first time all of her children have been together in the same room. Unreal huh??
Long story and I"m not going to go there , but as Her children were chatting , I looked at mom and watched her ...Her eyes were moving from one child to the next as she looked at each one of them. I was thinking to myself I wonder what she's thinking right at this moment? My heart went out to her , as a Mom I thought, wow... did it have to go this far to get them all together in the same room at the same time? I thought to bad it couldn't have happened under a better circumstance, but I'm glad all of them were there!
I learned that sometimes its more important to put issue's aside for the moment, you see you may never get the chance again! I'm sure all the kids had some kinda feelings also......I hope it all was worth the effort in getting together.
We are safe at home now, Resting from our moments of fear in the unknown, thankful for each other.
Love your family........they can be gone so suddenly.
