Another Grandchild to love.

On November 19th I went home to meet my newest grand baby, Her name is Kimberly Jolene. She weighed in at 7 pounds 11 oz and 20 inches long. She is so cute!!! Her sister Nevada was born with a lot more hair than Kimberly has but she has a head full of hair also. Brother Brayden is very proud to have another sister. So I'll post some pictures of these awesome grand kids of mine!!

I was going to post a picture of mommy with baby but those hospital gowns do nothing for the looks department so I spared her the shame ...lol

Tonight I'm heading over to the Personal Care Home Christmas dinner, I'm Mary's guest. Mary is a dear friend of mine. She's fun to be around and at 98 years of age still has a awesome sense of humor!!! We will have fun tonight with each other, Her children live outside the province and are unable to attend this event.

Not much else has been happening lately, Been doing a lot of walking and am noticing that its paying off :)

Nevada's Awesome Birrthday Party!

Sunday was a great day, Nevada turned 5 that day!!! Her Mom & Daddy went through a lot of work to make her day special. It started with going to Sunday school, then McDonald's for lunch, and Horse riding at her Uncle Jim & Auntie Sue's house. Then came her birthday party where she had some school friends,he play friends and their parents, and most of her Grandparents were there.

She had veggies and dip for all her guests, and of course Birthday Cake that her Grandma Briggs supplied. There was also Hot dogs , which we didn't even bother to make cause nobody was hungry after the spread we had on the tables.

She got lots of presents, and she loved everyone of them.

After everyone left I had the joy of helping Nevada spruce up her room with some decals for her wall I had bought her, also a new lamp for in her bedroom , she just loved it!!! Every little girl should feel like her room is special!

I played with the kids, then gave them hugs and kisses goodnight, Then it was time to go back to where I have been staying and get some sleep.

The next day I spent sometime in the morning with my mom. Packed up my stuff. Went by the cemetery and stopped by to pay a few minutes of respect to my daddy who passed away a year to the day.Then I headed back home to Dauphin.

I stopped in on the way home to see a friend from church, her family and the newborn of hers ...he's such a cutie. Finally in the afternoon I made it back to Dauphin.

Hubby called me asked me to stop by his office , so I did to be totally shocked to see him come up to me with flowers, they are very nice and I have them sitting on the kitchen table...thanks sweetie!

Well , I got to get back into normal stuff around here, So that's all for now. I will post some pics though.

House Got a Facelift thanks to Hailstorm

Well time has passed and finally my house has got its face lift! There are still a few things left to do like vent covers's and new front light but I"m happy with what was done.

We have been so super busy, Anthony with his girlfriend and work, Us with working and going on Holidays to B.C. and also our mini trips to see the children.

We all went to the zoo last weekend and it was a blast even though it was very warm out, guess we shouldn't complain cause winter will be here before we want it to.

Getting excited about school, I know the course will help me further my job future, weather it be here in Dauphin , or somewhere else , only time will tell. Just pray that the money will come in to cover all the costs, and that my brain will still remember how to write a essay!!!!!!

Little Green Socks.

Life goes by so fast! So many things to do besides going to work, doing the jobs around the house,picking up the groceries, or doing the laundry...some people would say ....hey stop! Take time to smell the flowers. When I stop....I've been looking at the Little Green Socks.

The Little Green Socks are sitting here on my night stand. They are so cute, with rubber on the bottoms that says ...6-12 months BabyGap. As I hold these Little Green Socks in my hands they seem so small, but they bring a huge smile to my face!

To think of the little feet that fit the Little Green Socks? To think how many times they run around in a room, to think when they are on the feet they are full of life!

As I sit and hold the Little Green Socks....memories upon memories fill my thoughts ,laughter and some tears fill my heart, a calmness I can't even explain.

Grandson Brayden... Grandma has your Little Green Socks, She will take good care of them til she see's you again.

P.S ..oh and the Little Green Socks will stay by my nightstand and close to my heart.

Everyone is allowed a "blue day" right??

Here I sit in a resturant in Steinbach thinking.... Been to see my parents and it's hard watching them both struggle to breath. I watch dad walk from the chair to the window and he's slow and quiet. Mom was sitting in the chair , coughing which she does often, but can't cough at night to get the flem outta her throat so she sits most of the night in a chair. It's sad , and I have to fight tears just thinking about it. If this is what happens when one gets older ......I DON'T WANT TO GET OLDER THEN!!!!

Seems like I spend alot of time wondering how they are doing, if they are getting worse , how many good days do they have??? Or are most of them the same.I wonder will one's heart just say that's enough and poof one of my parents would be gone? I just dread the day I get that phone call.

Seems all I do is work , clean or sleep! I guess in one sense its a good thing, I can't go totally crazy now if I keep myself busy right?? I do feel myself going into my own little world though, I find it to be a safe place, where no one can harm me in any way. I'm trying not to get down, but wow somedays its really hard not to... these days I call my "blue days".

When I go into my "blue day" I just want to give up on everything, I have no energy to even care, I don't feel like being around anyone, its easier to be alone. I don't want pity, cause I don't care to tell anyone what I"m feeling. It's hard to open your heart when you guard it so.You ask ... Am I depressed??? NOPE, just having a "blue day" tomorrow could be a better day!

Depression to me is someone who lives in it everyday all day long, I don't do that. I am usually upbeat and love life , its just not happening at the moment so don't think I"m going crazy yet .....I will be kind enough to tell you when I am !! LOL

Well I guess I need to go get my Grandkids fix ...yup, maybe they will bust a move and get me outta this sad mood I"m in..
